Todd and I went on our Honeymoon to Disney for two weeks from June the 11th to the 25th!
On the 11th we flew out (three flights!) and arrived at our hotel around 11pm. We spent a lot of time in the airport, so we bought some delicious crepes to pass the time! 🙂
Our tired faces on the shuttle bus that took us to the hotel!
We started off our trip by staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We got a safari view room and I would totally recommend it! We saw animals ALL THE TIME. It was so neat to wake up to giraffes and other animals everyday. 🙂 The room was beautiful!
We were surprised at the front desk with a gift from our travel agent! We got the buttons that we wore the whole time that said we were just married.
And she got us Mickey and Minnie ears to wear as well as charms for our magic bands!
June 12th: We started off our trip our trip at Epcot! We were blessed with low crowds and decent weather. We spent a lot of time waiting for buses to go to the parks, so you will see lots of pictures of us at the bus stops. 😉
Because we had buttons we got a lot of perks! Free slurpees!
We met Bay Max, which was one of Todd’s favorite parts of the trip.
He couldn’t wait to hug him. 😉
We were able to ride a lot of rides because of the low crowd levels and take lots of pictures!
We ate a quick service lunch at La Cantina de San Angel (in Mexico). I did a lot of research before the trip, and this place was raved about and I totally agree with what everyone says! Simply delicious!
We then explored more of the world showcase. Including China.
We tried some Chinese flavored water and embraced the culture!
Also because of our awesome buttons, we scored some free caramel corn from Germany. Wow…this started an obsession for us, we had it multiple times more on the trip and I am currently dreaming of eating some right now. The smell of it alone is just simply amazing.
Epcot also has a lot of technology and environmental aspects to it, so we explored all of those attractions as well.
Before we hit up dinner we took one more chance to get our picture in front of the Nemo statue, which is amazing because the pelicans cry out “Mine, Mine, Mine” every few minutes.
My favorite fish in the sea <3
We went to dinner at Coral Reef. I had a fan girl moment because we got seats very similar to where Danny and Vicky sit in Full House.
It was so neat to sit right next to the aquarium. Such great entertainment for dinner! Also, the food was great! Todd got the MahiMahi and I had a steak.
June 13th: We hit up Hollywood Studios. Here is the view we woke up to outside our balcony!
I rocked my awesome Disney shirt that my Sis-in-Law, Lindsey got me! 🙂
We rode the Tower of Terror (my favorite ride of all!)
And Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster!
Disney has this cool technology that reads your magic bands and it puts your name on posters that change while your in line. This was in line for Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster (it was a 2 hour wait that day).
We also rode Toy Story Mania!
We also learned about some of the history of Disney. We actually found this super interesting and it was great to get out of the heat!
We also saw a lot of Star Wars “stuff” (that’s about all I know about it lol) because Disney is putting a lot of Star Wars into Hollywood Studios!
Having lots of fun!!!
For dinner we ate at the Sci-Fi diner. It’s themed like an old fashion drive in movie. They don’t actually show movies, but rather old “horror” movie clips. It’s a really cool setting and an awesome experience. We both got the ribs and they were just okay.
They seat you in booths that are like cars, super neat!
Well that wraps up days 1-3 of our honeymoon! I’ll be sharing more soon! 🙂
