Happy December! This is my twins first Christmas! They will only be 3 months old, and let’s be real, a 3 month old doesn’t need a ton for Christmas. Of course there are a ton of great baby items out there, but my husband and I decided to gift the boys something a bit different for their first year.
We both have a love for travel, and more recently, we have wanted to visit all of the National Parks. Once are boys are a bit older, we plan to take them to as many National Parks as possible. We have a dream that includes a long road trip and an air stream! Because we know traveling to the parks is something we want to prioritize with the boys, we decided to get them a National Parks themed gift!
All of these items can be used on our future trips and will grow with them! This gift is perfect for girl or boy, and I think almost any age kid would enjoy it!
This idea all started with the passports that National Parks sell! These little books have places to stamp and place stickers once you have visited certain landmarks at each park. (Bonus these are super affordable!)
We also got them two books. The first, is a board book for when they are younger. The illustrations are beautiful and the All Aboard National Parks book features many of the most popular parks.
The second book we got them is the National Parks of the U.S.A. book. The book is filled with information and beautiful illustrations! I imagine are books looking up each park before we visit to learn a little about it! This book is definitely appropriate for older kids!
We also got them this beautiful National Parks quilt. We thought this would be the perfect blanket for them to cuddle up with as we travel if it gets a bit chilly.
Lastly, we got them the National Parks mini + mat from Gathre. If you are not familiar with Gathre, they have beautiful leather products. These mats are multi purpose. They fold up small and can be easily wiped down if dirty. This will be perfect to fold up to go into our backpack on future hikes. We can easily pull it out when we want to sit and eat a snack or lunch! Also, you could hang this as art on the wall.
We hope the boys will love the National Parks as much as we do!
Now for their “wishlist” aka what I told family members if they asked what they could get them! Hopefully if you are stumped for a baby, this will give you a few ideas!
–Baby Engraved Memory Box: I want one of these for each boys to keep all their NICU keepsakes
–The Short Years Baby Book: This is a baby book that is made from your phone and then shipped to your house! I’ve actually already started making each of the boys (you can do so before purchasing!) and it’s super easy!
–Kyte Sleep Sacks: prepping for the future when the boys can no longer be swaddled! I have heard such good things about this certain brand!
Lovevery block set: I love every (pun not intended!) item from Lovevery! These blocks are so much more than regular old blocks. They can do so much!
Cash & CO Hats: I mean these are cute right!?
Ryan & Rose Baby spoon & fork: for when we start solids!
Ezpz mini mat: Also for solids!
Kids wagon: I feel like a wagon like this will be useful for many years! Love how it’s so versatile!
Snack cups: Love the neutral colors in these!
That’s it!
So tell me, what are you getting your kids, or the kids in your life for Christmas this year!?
