Hey all!! Recently life has been quite busy with starting back to school! However, Todd and I have been able to have some fun outside of work in our free time! Here’s what’s been up in my life lately!
Recently I was able to go to a bridal shower for one of my co-workers and friend Kelsea, who is getting married in just a few weeks!
There was a whole bunch of us there to shower her! Her bridesmaids did the cutest job decorating! They even made everyone a flower crown!
We also were blessed to go bowling with some friends recently because they got us all a great deal on Groupon! Todd was happy because he did a great job (me not so much…lol)!
We also enjoyed a wonderful brunch at the Hotel Roanoke to celebrate my Great Grandmother’s 100th birthday! Sadly she is in Texas and unable to travel, however, the staff at Hotel Roanoke set up a video conference for us so after we ate we were all able to talk to her! It was a surprise for her and I think she loved it!
Todd loved the brunch because he was able to eat endless Shrimp! LOL
Excuse the horrible picture quality, but while we were there we ran into one of my sweet dance teachers from high school!
I also, as mentioned earlier, had my first day back and of course had to take a first day of school picture! 😉
The school photographer caught me bringing in my oil for home economics on the first day. This picture just made me laugh!
Some of my awesome students 😉
One of my students gave me this sweet gift from his sweet mama!
I shared my room tour the other day, if you missed it you can check it out here.
We also recently enjoyed some donuts at Krispy Kreme with some friends! Sadly we were one day early on the eclipse donuts, but hey they were hot and ready and delicious!
This past Friday night we went down to the Sweet Donkey (a local coffee shop) that does live music on Friday nights. Different food trucks also come by every week, so it’s always different.
If you’ve never been before it’s something you should definitely check out! Tons of people are there with their kids and dogs! lol
Todd and I both enjoyed some delicious tamales that were topped with chicken, veggies, and a cilantro sauce that was to die for!
This past Sunday our church celebrated it’s 70th year of Homecoming. The service was absolutely amazing and we ate a delicious meal afterwards.
Todd and his parents sang a special and of course I had to record it! 😉
Also, I thought I would share a few pictures of a few recent outfits since I’ve been dressing up a bit more since I am working again. I was going to do a what I wore in a week, but forgot to keep doing it halfway through the week! I will try again here shortly! lol
I recently got this tunic at a yard sale for a dollar, and it’s the perfect shirt to wear to school!
I wore this black and blush outfit to church the other week. I am in love with this black kimono I found at Plato’s closet! It goest with so much!
And lastly, my favorite outfit, this bright orange dress that I found at Plato’s with my super summery scarf that I got at the beach one year!
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Monday!
