Hey everyone! Hope you are enjoying all the beautiful spring weather, I know I have been! Hopefully here soon I will get some down time to sit outside to enjoy the weather to read.
Today I want to share with you the four books I read in April! I definitely have some good suggestions, in fact any of these wouldn’t be a bad read!
First up was the thriller The Last Mrs. Parrish. This was a great book. I heard everyone raving about it, so I thought it was going to be in like my top books of the year, now I still really liked it and enjoyed. I think I just had really high expectations, like really really high. This book follows a girl that secretly imbeds her way in to a relationship to steal a man from his wife. This book did make me want to keep reading, and definitely had a good twist in it! If you enjoy thrillers, definitely read this one.
Next up, I read One True Loves. I feel like everyone has also been talking about this one as well. The story follows a girl that lost the love of her life due to an accident, and falls in love again, but then she finds out her husband is still alive. So now she has to choose between her husband, and her fiancé. This book gives you all the feels! I really enjoyed it, and can honestly say I was happy how the book ended, but I know a lot of people were not!
Next for the month of April, I listened to (on audiobook) My Not so Perfect Life. Ya’ll, I absolutely adore this book! There were moments where I was truly laughing out loud. The story is so adorable, and the main character is so relatable. This is probably my favorite Sophie Kinsella book, and I’ve read and loved just about all of them. I have a feeling too that listening to it on audiobook made me love it even more!
Lastly I read The Perfect Nanny. This was a short read that follows a nanny that basically goes off her rocker. Now, I kept waiting for this book to feel like it was going somewhere, and I never felt like it did. Like I didn’t feel like it told much of a story? I don’t know, I just wasn’t crazy about this. Now, overall, it wasn’t a horrible read, but I think I wanted something different from what it gave me. If any of you have read this book, I would love to also hear your opinion!
I have already started a few good ones for the month of May! Let me know what else I need to put on my to-read list!
Happy Reading!
