I am linking up with Victoria today to share a typical Christmas day in the life!
I wished my day was a little bit more exciting, but I enjoy seeing other people’s typical day, so hopefully you will enjoy too!
I started my day at 6:15…my alarm goes off at 6:00….but this was after I hit the snooze button a few times 😉
I then got up and started to get ready, which I feel like I am always in a rush to do.
While I get ready I always listen to a podcast. This morning I was listening to The Plastic Faith Podcast, which is made by a couple of friends of ours! I got behind on some of their episodes, so I was listening to the Thanksgiving episode. If you listen to podcasts, let me suggest that you should listen to them on 1.5 timing. Trust me, it’s weird at first, but once you get used to it, if you go back, it feels like everyone is talking so slow! And this way you can also listen to more podcasts!
I got dressed and went for a warm outfit for the day. My outfit is all not in season, but my sweatshirt is from AE, pants from Banana Republic and Vest from Vineyard Vines (similar).
I left for school (I have like a 30 minute drive to work). I switched between my book on CD and christmas music and ate my breakfast.
Once I got to school I read my devotional for the day. I usually read it at school because for one I’m awake, and two, a lot of times I share what I read with my class (I teach at a Christian school).
During my first period class, while the students took their test, I graded notebooks and used these fun winter stickers in them!
I taught my two classes (block schedule) and then I watched students play basketball during break time.
Taught my other two classes, and then on my planning period I planned and made copies (Christmas breaking is coming soon!) I also ate lunch, but totally forgot to take a picture, I just had leftover pizza and yogurt.
At the end of the day, I had a few egg babies left with me (I assigned egg babies in home economics), this is a problem because egg protective services has to step in for abandoned babies 😉
When I got home I took a wonderful nap for a bit under an hour, then I got to work on some house work. I did some laundry and simple picking up.
Then I got caught up on some Vlogmas youtube videos! We had a quick dinner of leftovers as we often do on Wednesdays (church night!)
I did not attend church because I had to run an errand for school tomorrow, so I was solo for the night. I went and picked up something at my Dad’s house. When I went there my step-mom gave me this cute vest that she picked up for me at Old Navy which was an awesome surprise! It’s a nice light pink color! 🙂
When I got back home, I worked on a little more house work including the dishes.
Then, since my husband wasn’t home, I decided to use the time to wrap some of his Christmas presents. I loved the wrapping paper I picked out for him this year!
Some of the little Santa’s have headphones on, which is perfect since my husband loves all things music. The way we do wrapping paper is we go the day after Christmas to Target and pick out Christmas paper to use for each other the following year. Then, whatever we don’t use will be used for our family next year. So for example, the paper I picked for him last year, will be used for my family this year, however this Santa paper won’t. I like doing this because it’s fun to get a new paper for each other and it doesn’t mix up presents!
Currently I am working on this blog post….
and after this post is finished I intend to read my Christmas novel I am currently reading.
I should mention that on most typical days, my husband is a way bigger part, but his Wednesdays are usually packed!
I will probably be in bed by 10:30!
Let me know in the comments what you do everyday and can’t go without!
