June 14th: We went to Animal Kingdom for the first time! We stared off by going to Dinoland.
We had pretty much no wait for the DINOSAUR ride. Got to love ride pictures! 😉
We got to see Goofy and Pluto playing some games!
We had Photopass and we had a great photographer who gave us lots of great poses. Most of my favorite pictures from the trip came from Animal Kingdom!
He thinks he’s so cool 😉
Pictures in front of Mount Everest! It was definitely not that cold! 😉
We also got to meet Flick from a Bug’s Life. We didn’t even wait in line to meet him, we literally passed by him just as he was coming out, perfect timing!
We stood in line for Kali River Rapids and saw an airplane “paint” this in the sky!
We saw more of the cool smart posters in line.
We rode Mount Everest (my second favorite ride) and this picture is perfect. I love everyone’s face. Especially the little boys in front of us!
We also got some extra fastpasses because we were Newlyweds! (Got to love those buttons!)
Todd got his cool hat that he had been wanting.
Guys it was hot that day, like really hot…
So we took advantage of the Starbucks in the parks, and got refreshers…
And we looked like true tourists at this point. Also let’s just appreciate that the wall behind us says Harambe. (This is a big deal, just ask any kid in high school).
We saw the tree of life! Just looking at all the detail is so amazing! Disney always goes all out on all their themes.
We also went on a safari and saw a few animals.
And we went to the Festival of the Lion King, which is a must see, air conditioned show! 😉
And we took a few more pictures in front of the tree!
We then headed to Boma for dinner. Boma is a buffet style, sit down restaurant that was located at our hotel. They serve a lot of African food, which was super fun to try! The food was great and the zebra dome dessert was amazing!
We got a free dessert on top of the buffet because of our buttons again!
That ended day 3 of Disney for us!
June 15th: We finally made our way to Magic Kingdom, but first we went to Chef Mickey’s for breakfast.
While we were waiting to be seated they have a photographer ready to take your picture.
Chef Mickey’s is a character breakfast at the Contemporary hotel. So we met Mickey…
and Pluto…
And Daisy!
And Goofy!
Speaking of Goofy…
He took me for a pretty long walk around the restaurant!
And last but not least, Minnie!
The food at Chef Mickey’s was so good! I would totally recommend it!
And we got another free dessert for being on our Honeymoon!
We then took the Monorail to Magic Kingdom and were so excited to walk down Main Street and then see the CASTLE!
We put on our cool hats and took some pictures in front of the castle!
I have to say that when I got the matching tanks for us to wear, originally Todd was not the biggest fan, but after a few days at Disney (seeing just about everyone wearing specialized shirts) and getting quite a few compliments while at the parks wearing them, he thought they were pretty cool. 😉
Then the hair went up (…that Florida heat though!) and off we went to ride some rides!
Good ol’ Splash Mountain…(everything was satisfactual 😉 )
…And Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
…And Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!
Another free fastpass!
Cool picture spot in front of Big Thunder Mountain!
The bus rides were my least favorite part of the trip…lots of waiting and longer rides, you can see at this point sleep was catching up!
We stayed late that night for extra magic hours and we caught the Electrical Parade (which is no longer going 🙁 )
We found a hidden gem in Magic Kingdom…Lefou’s Brew…pretty much frozen applesauce with whipped cream and caramel! So yummy!
And we caught a few pictures on the way out! The castle is so pretty at night! 🙂
Whew! Picture overload! That’s it for days 4 and 5 of our honeymoon!
