Before we dive into my favorite hair products, I feel like I should definitely mention that yesterday I majorly changed my hair, I chopped off my hair and added more blonde! You can see a before and after picture below. I’m super happy with how it turned out! If you are in the Roanoke area, then I totally recommend checking out Kandace Parker!
I’m sure with the new do this will add some new favorite products to my list, but these are the products that I have been loving, and many of them I have been loving for many years!
I used to not have a particular shampoo I love but every since I got color put in my hair I’ve been switching between these two shampoos so that my color would stay and it wouldn’t turn brassy.
This is an affordable sulfate free shampoo that I truly believe gets my hair totally clean. The only beef I have with this shampoo, is that I find it hard sometimes to get it out of the container, but overall it smells great, is affordable (a theme of this post) and keeps the color in my hair looking good! (Sulfates can damage your hair color)
Jhirmack Silver Ageless Shampoo
I feel like a bit of an old lady using this shampoo, but honestly it’s such an affordable purple shampoo. Seriously, if you need a purple shampoo, don’t spend an arm and a leg, just use this one, it does the job, smells good, and is affordable! Purple shampoo helps silver and blonde hair from getting too brassy! I would highly recommend using one if you don’t already and have either of those colors in your hair.
I love to add volume to my hair, which was always a struggle when my hair was long. I have tried just about every volume product out there including expensive and cheap, and honestly this spray does just as good if not better than the expensive ones. I love how I can put this in my hair and it’s almost like I teased it! I literally never go a day without using it. I go through this stuff super fast so I’m always buying more. This is a must have if you need more volume in your life!
There are a few dry shampoos I enjoy, but the one I continue to buy is Dove Dry Shampoo. Even though it is white, it really doesn’t seem to show in my dark roots, which I love. Also, I feel like it truly cleans up my hair, while some dry shampoos just seem to make my hair dirtier. I wash my hair every two to three days, so this is a must for when I need my hair to last longer!
I have been using this hairspray since high school. I honestly think the smell of it is part of what people identify “my smell” as lol. It’s a light hold spray that doesn’t make your hair crunchy, and once again, it’s affordable! I feel like I’ve switched so many people to this hairspray because whenever they are over and they borrow it, they love it, and then they notice the price tag is under 4 dollars and it’s just a no brainer! lol
This is my basic curling iron that has lasted me so long! Seriously, for how affordable it is (15 dollars!), it has put in the years and has always curled my hair so well. This is what I use to get curls or waves in my hair. I use it both as a wand and as a curling iron. I do think in the future I will possibly upgrade to something that I can interchange the barrel sizes, but it you need an affordable option, this is great!
I never got the hype about a CHI flat iron until I bought one on super clearance at Ulta (I only spent 30 bucks because it was a holiday special I bought in like April lol), but ever since I got mine I truly love it. I am more of a curly hair person, than straight, but when I want my hair to be straight I love using it!
This blow dryer has always been awesome! I love that it has attachments t hat I can interchange for different looks, and I don’t feel like the dryer ever gets too hot!
Tangles are the enemy! When I had long hair it took me so long to brush it out, having a wet brush for when I got out of the shower always helped because it helped me get the tangles out without breaking my hair, and it hurt way less! If you don’t already have one of these brushes in your life than you need to change that!
So what hair products am I totally missing out on? Let me know in the comments below!
Have a great day!
