Happy Tuesday that feels like a Monday! lol I hope you all had a fantastic Labor Day! We had a great weekend!
We spent Friday night being lazy and watching Netflix! Then on Saturday we did some cleaning until we headed to Lynchburg for the day to catch up with some friends that were in town for the weekend!
We had a great time visiting and catching up at Osaka’s. We hadn’t seen them in person since their wedding in February so it was a much needed visit! We also wandered around Liberty’s (our alma mater) campus to see what changes had been done! (it’s constantly changing guys!) And we stumbled upon the Block Party.
I will share my outfit later, but I wore my new jeans that I got from AE!
As students we always loved the block party: free entry, free music, free rides, tons of friends! We walked around visited a few people and listened to the music! In the past we’ve heard some great bands at the block party including Red and Rilent K.
Neat thing was that the band playing was a band that is from Liberty. Todd knew all of the people in the band and really enjoyed getting to hear them! If you enjoy some hard rock music check out the Vegan Llamas.
Then we said our goodbyes and headed home to watch some football. Todd being an Alabama fan was psyched at the outcome of the game! And we also celebrated when Liberty beat Baylor which was on a 2% chance!
Sunday we headed to church and I had to take a picture of the beautiful Welcome table! I love how we have a chalkboard there to remind us of things to be praying for!
We then spent the rest of the day doing some chores and grocery shopping. That evening we went to visit Todd’s brother Jared’s new kittens that he just got. He named them Karen and Barbra (love the names!)
On Monday we went to Todd’s parents house to celebrate the day off.
I have never played crochet, but his Grandparents just bought a set, so we played a few rounds. I really enjoyed it! Especially how you could come back really quickly if you were loosing!
We also ate a delicious meal and played the game of things!
Lastly I decided to finally do something with my nails, so I put on some essie nail stickers.
It felt so great to have an extra day off! How did you spend your labor day?
