Hey everyone! Today I thought I would share with you all what we have been up to lately! It really has been wedding season over here, (we’ve been to three) so that has kept us busy!
First up I mentioned this wedding in my last update, but we got to see some of the pictures that the photographer took so I had to share them on here because all these friends make me happy! 🙂
Next up was another friends wedding! Another beautiful couple! Yay for Mr. and Mrs. Gumbiner! 🙂
On Father’s Day our church had a bacon bar….this was amazing! They had quite a few different flavors, and even dipping chocolate!
Yum!
Todd’s family came to church with us, so we snapped a picture of Todd, his Dad, and his brother. Later that day we had my family over for lunch and then went over to Todd’s family’s house for dinner! It was a full day of family fun!
This past Friday, I knocked the first thing off of my Roanoke bucket list. (Todd and I are trying to do some local things that we have never done together). We went to Scratch Biscuit, which is more than just your local breakfast bar, they have some crazy concoctions including biscuits with pimento cheese!
I stayed classic and went with pancakes (best pancakes I’ve ever had!) and grits! Later that day we went and saw Incredibles 2. It was such a cute and fun movie! I would totally recommend it, it was just as good as the first one!
If you have seen it already, what did you think about the disney short at the beginning of the movie? I’m hearing mixed reviews!
The next day we went downtown with Todd’s sister and brother in law because they were in town for the wedding we went to that evening. Just look at how beautiful downtown Roanoke is! Ugh I just love the market and it makes me want to buy all the good smelling soaps and yummy vegetables lol.
We ended up stumbling along a car show that day (totally free!) So we walked through and checked out a few of the cars.
I personally liked this blue one! 😉
Then we needed cooling off, so we stopped at Bayou for ice cream and shaved ice.
Todd and I shared a black cherry shaved ice, which I actually didn’t love, just because it was so sweet, but that doesn’t mean others won’t love it, lol just not for me.
Then, that evening we went to Todd’s cousin’s wedding. And can you even stand this beautiful view! The picture doesn’t do it justice. We had a great view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, but then peaking in between you could see just a little bit of downtown. Also, there was just a slight breeze that made the heat totally bearable! It was seriously perfect weather!
I loved that they prayed together at their wedding! Seeing couples that want to put God first in their marriage is always amazing! Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Coy! 🙂
Todd sang Reckless Love at the wedding and did a fantastic job! 😉
We had a great time at the reception visiting with friends and family, and we even got to witness a beautiful sunset.
On Sunday, we had lots of fun in the evening celebrating with Todd’s family all the upcoming summer b-days. Can you guess which one mine was? 😉
Then we went home and crashed from the busy weekend! Thankfully we still have family in town so we still have more time to visit!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Monday! 🙂
