Oh man! I need to get better about taking pictures! As I was thinking back to all we have done recently I realized there are many events I never took pictures of!
Anyways, I have been super busy because our school year has been wrapping up, but now it is officially SUMMER! (Can I get an AMEN!?)
So here’s what Todd and I have been up to the last couple of weeks!
First off, our school took a Field trip to celebrate the end of the school year. We started off our trip at Appomattox Courthouse. This is an awesome FREE historical site, that even though I live an hour away from it, I had never been to until our field trip.
This is the place where General Lee surrendered to the Union. The have a replica of the house, a multitude of artifacts, a video, and a man who pretends to be one of the men who fought in the war from the area. It’s a cool attraction, so if you are in the area stop by!
Then we headed to a trampoline park for the kids to get out of their extra energy!
Since Todd and I were the Senior class sponsors (remember our Key West trip) we went to the banquet on the Virginia Dare Cruise.
The Weather was a bit dreary, but regardless we still had a great time!
We also went with my Mom to the new escape room in Roanoke called Deciphered! It was really really fun! Sadly, we did not succeed, but we definitely want to go again.
I know escape rooms are expensive, but it’s so nice to do something entertaining where you are not just consuming, but rather using your mind! So give it a go!
My brother also gifted us with some art 😉
Also, I made these delicious cheesecake cookies! Thanks Pinterest! ;D
Graduation was on this past Friday night and we said goodbye to four amazing Seniors!
Todd always makes fun of me because I have to wear the robe and hat every year, but I just look at it as I’m getting my money’s worth (I mean come on it cost like 80 dollars or something…) 😀
The next day we celebrated Todd’s first cousin’s graduation (he was one of the Seniors from our school!) at the lake.
Lastly, Todd played with Richard Kiser on Memorial Day during his concert, and Todd was so cute just smiling the whole time!
So that sums up or life lately! We have many events to look forward to this summer: a few trips, weddings, camp, and just our daily adventures!
Thanks for stopping by!
