Thanksgiving Break sure was great! I had three days off from work and enjoyed spending time with family! Here’s a peek into our week via my random iPhone pics:
Before I jump into this post, let me just warn you that there is pic overload! lol
//MONDAY:
To start off the week, we went and saw the new Justice League movie once Todd’s sister and husband arrived in town from Florida. This was the only pic I got at the movie theatre lol.
I still had to work Tuesday (and get a cavity filled…yuck), so Todd enjoyed some time with his family!
//WEDNESDAY:
Wednesday Todd and I got pics for our Christmas cards done (more on that later), and then went to Red Robin with my Grandparents and family because they came in town for Thanksgiving as well! Todd was loving his milkshake!
//THURSDAY:
Thanksgiving we spent with Todd’s family. We are starting to rotate holidays between our families. We all decided to wake up early and do the Drumstick Dash. (A first for us all!)
It was very cold, but overall a fun experience. We ended up walking about three miles. Your registration fee goes towards food for people that can’t afford it, which made it even more meaningful.
There were so many people there! A lot of serious runners too. I am not a runner! Lol I’m not sure if we will do the walk again, but it was an overall fun experience!
Before we ate we went to see our friends’ gender reveal for their third baby! I guessed girl and Todd guessed boy and I was right! I love this cute picture of my friend celebrating!
Todd wanted to help in the kitchen, so he helped by making a delicious cheesecake and making french press coffee!
Afterwards we obviously ate all the delicious food, and then played games together! 🙂
//FRIDAY:
Friday we did family pictures with Todd’s family and they turned out super cute!
We had Jen Fike photography!
We ate a quick lunch at Mac and Bob’s. I got a pesto chicken sandwich which was delicious!
Todd and I went Black Friday shopping just for a little bit and then that evening we went over to Todd’s parents to celebrate “Christmas Eve.” Todd’s family decided to celebrate Christmas early since all the fam was in for Thanksgiving and wouldn’t be for Christmas.
We decorated the tree and played more games! 🙂
//SATURDAY:
The next day we celebrated “Christmas” by starting out with brunch.
Then we opened presents!
Todd’s Grandpa then read us the Christmas book he wrote, and then later he taught us all how to make homemade custard!
The Alabama vs. Auburn game was on, so we all watched the game for the rest of the evening. (sad ending for Bama…) I caught this cute picture of their dog. She completely climbed under the blanket and laid down like this herself!
I hope you and your family had a fantastic Thanksgiving! Thanks for stopping by! Let me know in the comments what the highlight of your Thanksgiving was! 🙂
