Hello! I feel like I have fallen off the blogging world! Sorry I haven’t been blogging or interacting with your blogs recently! This has been a crazy last two weeks! As many of you know Todd and I had a big transition back at the beginning of this year, you can read about it here. But now we are happy to announce that he has accepted a position at First Roanoke as Associate Minister of Music and Worship!
This was a huge blessing because God totally just swung the doors wide open. It was crazy to see how everything truly worked out! He has currently been working there for two weeks and already loves it. He is a part of Sunday service, but his main role is to be the worship leader of the young adult ministry that meets on Tuesday nights called Kainos. It’s a modern worship service where about 100-150 people from ages 18-30 from across the Roanoke valley gather together! If you are local we would love to see you there 😉 Needless to say he loves it!
We have been crazy busy because we have been really plugging in trying to meet and get to know all the new (to us) people. So even though we have been busy, I really don’t have pictures to show because I don’t want to make people take pictures when I first meet them and say they are going to be on my blog! lol
Also, we also just finished the 3rd nine weeks at school. All my teachers know that this is a busy time of year with finishing grades, comments, make-up work, and parent teacher conferences. We also just had Spirit Week, this week is Spiritual Emphasis week, and next is Standardized testing, and then it’s finally Spring Break! Whew! (Hopefully you can see now why blogging has been a bit on the back burner lol)
Speaking of spirit week I had to include a few pics of me and my students on Wacky Tacky day. You can spot me with the bow (p.s. for my students asking to be on my blog here ya go 😉 lol)
Also thrown in during Spirit Week, was Pi Day, so of course we had to celebrate with circular food!
One other random thing I wanted to share with you guys, was that I randomly made Andrea’s cinnamon cream cheese roll-ups for some guests that we had over. Mine weren’t near as beautiful as her’s, but let me tell you that they were delicious!
Alrighty ya’ll that’s it for the life update! Thank you all for staying with all the randomness of this post! Hopefully I will be able to get back to blogging a bit more regularly here soon!
