Hello!
Okay so this is a little bit of a different post. Over the last month I’ve saved my trash…well select trash! lol I’ve saved any products I’ve used up that deal with beauty and home.
I love watching empties videos on Youtube, but I never really see blog posts about them, so I thought I would give it a go!
Basically all these products I’ve used up and I will share my opinion on them and if I would repurchase.
Also, be warned, you will hear a common theme of I bought it with a coupon, it was on sale, or I got in an Ipsy bag. I love these opportunities because they give me a way to try different products I wouldn’t otherwise try!
Cleaning
1. Downy Unstopables Shimmer: love these scent beads! I find that they work way better than any other brand (like Purex). They do get used quickly though, which is a bit annoying, but I will continue to repurchase.
2. Warm Vanilla Sugar Handsoap: I love B&BW hand soaps. Warm Vanilla sugar isn’t my favorite scent, but isn’t terrible. I also prefer the foaming soap. I believe I got this soap in a gift. I will definitely repurchase soaps from them, just maybe not this scent.
3. Method All Purpose Cleaner in Clementine: I love this stuff! I keep it by my kitchen sink to clean at any needed time, and it just has a great fresh smell to it that I love! I’ve already repurchased!
4. Snuggle Dryer Sheets in Wild Vanilla and Orchid: Super clean smell, did their job, bought with a coupon, will repurchase!
5. Downy Wrinkle Releaser: This is a huge bottle, and definitely not our first! This saves us so much time in ironing. We iron but very seldom! This is also great to freshen out clothes.
6. Snuggle Scentables in Lavender Breeze: This is a great product! I love this just as much as the Unstopables! It’s advertised as condensed laundry softner, however, I think it just adds a nice smell! I haven’t noticed any negative effects on my clothing (as I often do with softner). This also lasts a bit longer than the scent beads! I will buy again!
7. Gain Flings in Tropical Sunrise: I love these because they are all in one scent boost and detergent and so easy! No measuring! I always use coupons on detergent, so as soon as I spot another good deal I will get more!
8. J.R. Watkins All Purpose Cleaner in Grapefruit: Bought this randomly because it was on clearance on Target and I like it just as much as my Method cleaner! I would definitely purchase again.
Home Scents
1. Odor Eliminating Fresh Candle in Island Mist: I got this candle as a gift and kept it in the bathroom and it smelled amazing! It was great at the odor eliminating aspect. I would repurchase, however we have so many candles right now I don’t need anymore!
2. Marshmallow Fireside Candle: Classic smell of a marshmallow roasting!
3. Walmart Wax melts: Walmart wax melts are a super great deal, but they are hit or miss. I liked all the scents (or I wouldn’t have bought them) but what makes them good is if they last. The ones out of this pile that I would repurchase and enjoyed were Pumpkin Spice, Cinnamon Apple, and Pecan Pumpkin. The other two just didn’t last more than a day.
Not pictured:
4. Hot Apple Toddy Wallflower: loved the smell, don’t think it is sold anymore!
Beauty
1. L’OREAL Boost It Spray: I swear by this stuff! I have used so many “tease sprays” expensive and cheap, and this is by far the best! It gives my hair instant lift without having to tease it, and it smells great! I have already repurchased!
2. Nature Republic Sheet Mask in Olive: A sweet friend at church gave me a ton of these sheet masks to try and they are great sheet masks! My skin is always soft and glowing afterwards. I would definitely repurchase or buy as a fun gift!
3. Spring Valley D3 Vitamins: This doesn’t really go with beauty, but health makes you beautiful so I threw it in! I have been taking D3 daily now for a few months and I have noticed a drastic impact in my overall immune system! Especially since I work at a school, I am around germs all the time! If you find yourself getting sick often, I would recommend taking some!
4. Macadamia Oil Deep Repair: This took me forever to use up but it was a great product! I honestly don’t know if it’s worth the big price tag, but I do think it was great for my hair and never weighed it down. I would repurchase, but I would like to find something cheaper that is similar.
5. Olay Makeup Remover Wipes: I always use makeup wipes to remove my makeup and they are decently expensive for how fast I use them, so I always get coupons, I love the Almay ones the most, but I had a coupon for these, and they were okay. I really hate the smell of them. But they did the job.
6. Sensual Amber Body Mist: Anyone else out there have a crazy amount of bath and body works? I’m talking like a collection! I have really been trying to dwindle mine down. I believe I got this spray forever ago (maybe high school). So it was about time I used it all up! Probably won’t be repurchasing any time soon because I have so many to use!
7. Maybelline The Rocket Waterproof Mascara: For a while this is the only mascara I used, I really like using waterproof and this mascara makes your lashes look great! I will definitely repurchase in the future.
8. Marula Facial Oil: I actually can’t find this exact brand anywhere online! But I got this sample of facial oil from Ipsy and I really loved it! I found a way bigger size for under 10, so I’m thinking this might be something I repurchase. Yes it is oil for your face, and not once did I notice a breakout from it or anything negative. Also it smells great!
9. Gingerbread Latte Body Scrub: This scrub smelled amazing but I honestly prefer the regular shower gel. I’m not a big fan of the residue that this leaves behind in the bath tub.
10. Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Lotion: This is one of my favorite smells that Bath and Body puts out, so I loved this and will repurchase!
Hope you enjoyed digging through my trash 😉 lol
If you would like me to do more post like these let me know!
oh P.S. I should mention I didn’t specifically use all of these products in November, many of them I started using way earlier and happened to finish using them during November!
Thanks for stopping by!
