Hey Friends! Happy Monday! Today is a great day for me because it is a teacher workday which means I finally get to tackle a few things off of my to-do list!
I had a fantastic weekend! I took Friday off to spend with Todd. We used this time to celebrate Valentine’s Day. This is the first day I have actually taken off from work as a true personal day. I’ve only taken maybe two others in all three years of teaching and they have been for traveling, so it’s a rarity! lol
We didn’t celebrate Valentine’s on the actual day because our church had a Valentine’s Day mission banquet and Todd had to help serve. I didn’t attend because I know the drill when your husband has to serve, you sit alone, lol, and I didn’t feel like third-wheeling with another couple on their special date, so I stayed home and enjoyed my evening, which I love doing. I’m all about a bubble bath and reading a book.
So on Friday we both slept in and took our morning really easy. Then we went to get Todd a haircut, I took this random pic of him to show him that it looked good!
And Todd snapped a random pic of me for Insta 😉
Then we went out to eat at Outback for lunch! And pigged out on a blooming onion and steaks! 🙂
Then we went to the local theatre. We knew we were going to see Black Panther on Saturday (we loved it!) So we decided to see Early Man. Both of us for some reason fell asleep during a portion of it, but we felt like we didn’t miss too much lol. It actually wasn’t a bad story, we were just tired! (Food coma!) I thought it was fairly funny, but I would recommend saving your money and just seeing it on dvd.
OH and I had to take the terrible crappy movie theatre dark pic to prove we were there 😉
LOL guys this is why we fell asleep! The theatre was so dark, this was before the movie even started and the lights were on!
Then Todd had lessons so I went home and relaxed for a few and then we drove to Lynchburg where we did our Valentine’s Day tradition…we went to a Hockey game. 😀
Liberty is always a strong hockey team, which just makes the games so much fun. This time they were playing West Va, and since my family are Marshall fans, I wanted Liberty to win even more! As a part of our traditions we also always get hot chocolate. If you get a chance to go to a LU hockey game let me just tell you get the hot chocolate! It’s a great value (they don’t charge a billion dollars for concessions) and it’s milky and amazing! 🙂
Ya’ll I’ve been to a lot of LU games, and this one might have been the biggest score I’ve seen! And West VA actually put up a good fight! So it was overall a great game! 🙂
That wraps up our V-Day Celebration! What did you do for Valentine’s this year? Let me know below!
