Hello! Today I am sharing all about our reception! If you missed the other posts in Our Wedding series, you can check them out here:
I’m going to apologize ahead of time for the picture overload. Trust me I have narrowed them down, but it’s hard to pick your favorite wedding pictures!
So first let’s start with the decorations.
We had our reception right next door to the Chapel, at the Bottling Co. The venue is absolutely beautiful and doesn’t need very much decoration because of how pretty it is!
I kept it low budget by using a mix of spray painted glass bottles and used some whimsical flowers in each. I also cut a cork and painted the table numbers on a piece of paper. Took me awhile, but was worth it by how much money we saved! We also had bread on each table with different dips for the guests as they arrived.
I wrote tables assignments in fun font and strung them across this vintage mirror (check Facebook marketplace for wedding finds, that’s where I got the mirror!)
One thing about the Bottling Co. that I LOVE, is that it has a fireplace and two mantles to decorate. Even though it was too hot to have the fire on, I still loved decorating the mantles. I made these tassel banners myself using some cute tissue paper I got at Michaels.
Also, with all the decor I purchased, I made sure it was stuff I could use again in my home.
We also had a lot of cute little signs everywhere. I made these out of vintage frames from the thrift stores, and a pack of wedding scrapbooking cards from Michaels.
For our wedding favor we did a s’mores bar. This was something special to us because we met at a bonfire where we ate s’mores, and when Todd proposed we ate s’mores together again! 🙂
For food we had appetizers and lots of desserts!
For our guestbook we did a scrapbook with polaroids which I am going to share more about in another post!
Now onto the actual reception! 😉
We obviously arrived, then ate, and then moved onto our dances. I danced to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw with my Dad.
Todd and his Mom danced to “Then They Do” by Trace Adkins.
And we danced to “Amazed” by Lodestar. By our song selection you would think we were huge country fans, but we really aren’t, that’s just the way it all played out. haha!
Then our friends and family shared some sweet stories with everyone.
And we played the shoe game, but with candy. 😉 I was obviously surprised by Todd’s answer here.
Then it was time to cut the cake! We went with a naked cake and this cute You Are My Sunshine cake topper.
Then garter and bouquet toss!
Then the guys had to get a little funky! 😉
And then we were off! It was a great day to marry my best friend!

Alright, that’s all for this post! If you made it to the end then you rock!
