I know what you all are thinking, Weekend Recap on a Thursday!? Yes that is right. Better late than never.
I think this weekend might have been the busiest weekend I’ve ever had, like no joke, but it was awesome! Sadly I ended up catching a cold on Sunday and have been under the weather since then (I sound like a teenage boy right now lol). However, I’m pushing through because today is the last day of school before Spring BREAK! WOOHOO!
Before I get too excited though, let me tell you about our weekend! 🙂
-Friday-
Friday evening we got home and felt drained of energy, so we decided to use a gift card and go out to eat at Cheddar’s. We love cheddar’s because you get so much food! If you have never been, you have to try the honey croissants.
I also really recommend their chicken caesar salad because it has noodles in it, which really just improves the salad! lol
Then we ended up going to a new secondhand store that buys and resells clothing. I found a pair of madewell jeans for just 12 dollars! This trip inspired us to go home and sort through our clothes. So we ended up watching Parks and Rec. and doing a closet clean out that evening. Oh, also somewhere in there we fit in a random Aldi trip! haha
-Saturday-
Saturday started bright and early by going to our church to participate in a missions event! I continued to work on my plastic bag mat for the homeless that I have shared in the past! It’s really coming along but not done yet!
Later that day we returned to church to help set up for the 90’s themed Black Light Dodgeball tournament that Kainos (our young adult ministry) hosted!
The event was complete with 90’s cartoons, snacks (ring pops and gushers!), and outfits!
I tried to get multiple pictures of how awesome the space was, but every picture turned out as just a blur. This is the best I got lol! But seriously it looked amazing!
Todd was super busy because he was a ref when our team wasn’t playing. Our team name was Saved From the Hell (shoutout to Bethany for name creds).
As you can see I tried to rock some nineties mom jeans! lol
I am so thankful for the new friends we’ve already made. After just only being at our new church for less than a month, they have already embraced us and just made us part of the family! 🙂
Sorry for pic overload 😉
Then we went to sleep that evening exhausted and sore but full of great memories!
-Sunday-
Sunday we started our day with church, then out to eat at Zoe’s Kitchen for lunch, and then headed to a friend’s surprise birthday party!
Although, before we made it to the party, Todd took a quick nap in the car. Ya’ll this is what you do when you need a Sunday nap but can’t fit one in! Lol
We made it to the party and the sweet birthday girl was so shocked! It was fantastic!
We played a game called Sing or Dare. When Todd picked dare he had to type something with his toe on his phone and post it on social media.
He ended up typing “Bye Felicia” with his toe! I was actually super impressed!
We left the party then headed to church for the special Palm Sunday service with communion. It was a great time of just relaxing and praying before the busy Easter week we had ahead! Then we went out to eat for some Mexican food with some of Todd’s co-workers!
Whew! That was just exhausting typing it all out! I hope you all have a fantastic Easter with your families!
