I’m linking up with Shay today for What’s Up Wednesday!
What we’re eating:
Monday: Eat out (late bday dinner at Kabuki)
Tuesday: Leftovers from Sunday (this recipe HERE)
Wednesday: Lasagna
Thursday: Leftover Lasagna
Friday: Pizza
What I’m reminiscing about:
Todd and I were talking the other day about how he has been in my life for a whole 1/4 of it! That’s crazy to me!! It’s hard to remember life before him, but at the same time it’s crazy to think we’ve been dating since I was 17 and now I’m 24!
What I’m loving:
It’s a bit difficult to see because the wording has worn off from how much I have been using it, but I have been loving Skone Tattooed Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner! I got it in my Ipsy bag last month and have been using it ever since! It’s super easy to use and stays put all day!
What we’ve been up to:
Oh man! This summer has been crazy! At the end of June we went to Gatlinburg and if you missed it you can read about it HERE.
I plan on doing a life lately post here soon! But our July has been crazy busy with travel, camp, my birthday, and spending time with family and friends!
What I’m dreading:
So let me preface by saying I love my job, however I am dreading summer being over only because school means waking up early again!!! I am a morning person in that I can be really productive in the morning, however actually getting out of bed is always a struggle. So essentially, I’m dreading waking up at 6am everyday again 😉
What I’m working on:
I have been working on a few organization projects that I have wanted to accomplish before I head back to school! I cleaned and organized my makeup as well as the pantry! I wish our pantry could be more beautiful, but this works for us, and it’s a very tight small space, so there isn’t much we could do with it. Yesterday I also deep cleaned the stove and a few weeks ago I deep cleaned the windows. These aren’t necessarily fun, but when I go back to school I will be so glad I did these tasks!
What I’m excited about:
The weekend ahead of us is jam packed! We have family coming in because my mom is getting remarried. So we have all those fun festivities. Then we also have a game night with some friends! So lots of food, friends, family, and fun to look forward to!
What I’m watching/reading:
Oh my goodness! This summer has been full of watching a ton of movies and some tv shows!
Todd and I recently binge watched Riverdale in two days!!
We then started Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and I am trying to watch through The Office before it is taken off of Netflix (it’s a rumor I believe, but I want to be safe just in case)!
Also, I’ve been watching the Bachelorette. I haven’t been to thrilled with this season though, I don’t know why, I just haven’t loved it.
As far as books, I shared what I have been reading yesterday. You can check that out HERE.
What I’m listening to:
I always have a random assortment of songs I love at any given time, so I’m going to share a few of my favorites so that you can love them too 😉
Ed Sheeran’s song, Nancy Mulligan, literally takes me to Ireland, and I love that it’s the story of his Grandparents! I think it’s such a sweet tribute to them, and super catchy!
My husband and I love to sing Evermore in the car together! We listened to it on repeat on one of our trips so that we could learn all the words! I prefer the Dan Stevens version rather than the Josh Grobin version.
I love this rendition of Jolene. I just think what the Pentatonix did with it is brilliant, and I love that Dolly Parton is still a part of it. Let’s be real, this song is just catchy!
What I’m wearing:
Well I haven’t worn it yet…but my dad just got me this super cute new purse. I am usually a black purse type of person, but I have been wanting a gray one because I feel like it will be softer, but still be able to match with everything and I just love this one! If you want to pick one up click HERE (similar).
What I’m looking forward to next month:
I’m looking forward to diving into the new classes I will be teaching at school! I am especially excited because I am going to be teaching a home economics class and I am already thinking of a ton of great ideas for what all we can do!
What else is new:
Nothing much, just living our regular life!
What I love about Summer:
I love summer because I get to do all the things I feel like I don’t have time for during the school year! I also love being able to spend extra time with my husband! He gets Monday off, so normally I don’t get to be with him then, but during the summer I do! It’s been great!
Oh and I also love pasta salad, lots of pasta salad! 😉
Happy Wednesday Friends!
