June & July have flown by this year, and actually they have probably been the busiest months for Todd & I of the year so far!
(warning picture overload ahead!)
We started off June with a trip to Williamsburg!
We went on our very first trip to Ikea (and bought a lot…lol)
(p.s. check out my instagram IGTV for a haul of what all we bought!)
And of course we couldn’t go and not try a cinnamon roll!
Then we went to Busch Garden’s to check out their newest ride!
We were so happy that we ended up going during the Food Festival, so we tried a lot of different treats from around the world!
Such a fun day! 🙂
Then in June we took a quick trip to Houston, Texas to visit some of my family that lives there.
While we were there we decided to go to the Houston Zoo.
It was so amazing to feed the giraffes!
What made our trip extra special, was finding Dole whip at the zoo! (Dole whip takes us back to our amazing Honeymoon!)
We also got to see a few other areas around Houston, like the Centennial Gardens, the Art Museum, and the bean!
We also took a trip to Waco Texas (only 3 hours away), you can read about all about that trip here.
The next day, we visited a few more places with the Fam before we headed back home!
We also went camping in June with our Pup…
and celebrated with Friends…
And the absolute biggest part of June was probably the VBS at our church! I am the children’s assistant so this was our biggest event of the year, and Todd was super involved too because he was in charge of the music (we did a live band for opening and closing rally!)
In July we celebrated the 4th…
Also, in July…we went to Africa on our first missions trip together!
We started our journey with a layover in Paris. We were only there for a short time, but honestly I was not impressed with Paris. I think it might be slightly overrated.
Lol can you see the tiredness all over our face!?
In Paris we had just enough time to go to the Notre Dame, The Church of Saint Severin, the Seine River and get brunch at a place called La Bucherie.
Even though Paris wasn’t as great as I imagined, we still enjoyed our time there!
Next stop…Africa!
We had an amazing team, got to serve amazing people, and we had an amazing time getting to see the Lord work!
While we were there we also got to visit the beach.
On the last day of the trip we got to go on a safari!
And we had a little bit of time to enjoy the resort we were staying at.
Also in July, I celebrated my 26th birthday!
I know July isn’t technically over but all the business in July is! I’ve been so thankful to just take a break for the last few days! But I’m also excited for what the months ahead have in store!
What have you been up to this Summer?
